The AoE Strategy – Frost Mage Leveling Guide
Now, there are many ways to play a frost mage. Many players just aim at a single target and cast Frostbolt again and again… but that’s not the real strength of the frost leveling spec.
The plan is to gather lots of mobs that are about your level (to minimize the chances or miss/resist), freeze them and kill of them together with your AoE spells.
The best way to do it is to mount up and gather about 10 mobs. Now Freeze them, blink away and nuke them down with Blizzard and Cone of Cold.
Don’t worry if you don’t do it perfectly from the start. Dying a few times is okay while you practice this strategy since you’re handling a dozen of mobs! But seriously, once you get this strategy going, you will be able to complete every quest that involves killing mobs in no time.
